Taught by people still doing the job
The Global Institute's faculty are serving spa directors, hotel asset managers, developers and regional operators. How they are selected, how they are paid, and how to apply to teach a seminar.
Every seminar is led by someone who holds the role it is about — a serving hotel spa director, an asset manager who reviews spa P&Ls, a developer with a wellness project on site, a regional director of a chain. Faculty are named on each cohort page when the cohort is announced, with their current role. They are paid per seminar, hold no equity in the Institute, and mark capstones personally.
Selection
Minimum eight years in spa or hospitality with five at director level or above; a role we can verify by reference; one seminar taught as a guest before joining the faculty list. We look for people with a number or a mistake to teach from, not a slide deck.
