Research with the sources attached

The research desk exists because the spa industry runs on numbers nobody can trace. We publish digests of primary sources — the Global Wellness Institute, national statistics agencies — structural explainers such as the anatomy of a spa P&L, a glossary written for this site, and an open salary survey whose results will be published only when the sample is large enough to mean something. If a figure cannot be traced, it is not here.
